Hunstanton and District Probus Club celebrated Eric York’s 90th birthday when they met in December at the Le Strange Arms Hotel.
Eric is a Second World War veteran who was trained to fly Mustangs at Falcon Field air base in Arizona as an officer cadet in the RAF.
After the war he worked for the BBC for more than 20 years as a reporter, covering sporting events and was a commentator at Farnborough air shows.
Eric then became involved with flying in a very different capacity, this time printing airline tickets, which led to him becoming the foremost authority on ticket fraud.
Club secretary Ken Lawson paid tribute to Eric, describing him as a nice friendly guy who enjoys swapping stories with David Jones, a former RAF pilot, and it was David who took the above photograph.
