The annual RNLI Dedication Service was held at a packed St Mary’s Church Old Hunstanton on Sunday when crew-members were joined by their families and friends rather earlier than usual for two very special ceremonies.

Starting at 9am with a wedding, the Hunstanton Lifeboat crew lined up with oars aloft to make a guard of honour for crew-member Andrew Craven and his bride Kate Roberts.

During the signing of the registers the Hunstanton Rock Choir sang a medley including Just The Way You Are.

Led by Rev Susan Bowden-Pickstock, rector, and James Monro, curate, of the Saxon Shore Benefice, the service centred around the theme of water and included a reading from Hunstanton Lifeboat station manager Robin Rafferty from Psalm 18.

Continuing the watery theme, baptisms followed, including that of Charlie, the son of the new Mr and Mrs Craven.
