Organised by the PTA, the Redgate School summer fair on Thursday was blessed with good weather so full use was made of the playing field with lots of attractions and games for the children and their families.

John Henry Roper installed his teacups ride that proved really popular outside and stalls filled the hall with lots to buy and entertain. More than £600 was raised towards a multi-purpose activity wall. The PTA is aiming to raise about £12,000 and currently the fund stands at £7,500.

The school council has written to local organisations and charitable groups requesting donations and so far has received donations from Rotary of £500, Hunstanton Town Council of £100 and a box of toys from Hasbro that were raffled at the school fair.
