The Coastal Stroke Support Group, part of the Stroke Association, was Sainsbury’s Hunstanton nominated charity of the year for 2014/15. Mark Lane, manager at Sainsbury’s Hunstanton said: “We are delighted to be involved with such a worthwhile local charity and I am proud of the effort made by the store’s colleagues, its customers and the charity’s volunteers in raising £3,880 throughout the year.” Chris Bryant, treasurer of the support group, said the money raised would be used to continue supporting stroke survivors and their carers by providing long-term therapeutic care, craft and exercise classes. James Johnson, Hunstanton deputy mayor, said: “It is good to see Sainsbury’s supporting local charities in the local area.” Pictured from left Colin Hawgood, Zara Stevens, Paul Fisher, Jane Wright, Mark Lane, James Johnson, Sheila Bryant and Chris Bryant.
