Niels-Kristian Iversen produced a match-winning display for the King’s Lynn Roger Warnes Transport Stars as they kept their unbeaten home run going with a 49-41 win over Coventry on Wednesday night.
The popular Dane totalled 14 points for the Stars, with captain Rory Schlein weighing in with an 11 point haul from five rides.
The Stars made up for a poor start against Belle Vue on Monday with a four point lead after as many races completed. Heat advantages in races 5, 6 and 7 extended the lead for Rob Lyon’s team to a comfortable 12 points.
The second half of the meeting proved to be a lot closer with four shared heats, either side of two heat advantages for the visiting Bees.
The victory for Lyon’s side is the perfect response that he was looking for after Monday’s meeting, but there is cause for concern still with heat leader Kenneth Bjerre struggling to find points.
