West Norfolk Voluntary Community Action has completed its merger with the Norfolk Rural Communities Council to provide an enhanced service for good causes.
The new body will be called Community Action Norfolk (CAN).
The existing Norfolk RCC base at Signpost House in Dereham will remain in place, whilst a West Norfolk-based team will be located at West Norfolk Council’s offices.
The rebranded organisation is about taking the best from both Norfolk RCC and West Norfolk VCA and creating something new that even better meets the needs of Norfolk’s communities.”
Chief executive of Norfolk RCC, Jon Clemo, said “We are really excited about this change. The merger is intended to safeguard services and provide the best possible support to the organisations and people we work with. The new organisation will continue the tradition of responding to the needs of local organisations and communities.”
West Norfolk VCA supports charities and voluntary and community groups across the west of the county with information, advice and ‘back room’ administrative and financial services, and represents the voice of the voluntary and community sector at strategic level.
Organisations can contact Community Action Norfolk on 01362 698216 for support and more information.
