Well-known Lynn author Bob Booth is lending a hand to help keep patients to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital entertained.

Mr Booth has donated 12 copies of his popular books for the use of patients in the lounge used before discharge.

Over the past 10 years, Mr Booth has raised thousands of pounds for various charities through his works, which share memories of a bygone era of Lynn.

Among the titles which have been donated to the lounge are his latest book, King’s Lynn in Colour Combined Volumes 2 and 3.

Mr Booth said: “I always like to help and I hope that the patients in the Discharge Lounge enjoy the books.”

Catherine Morgan, the hospital’s director of nursing, added: “As a trust we are aiming for excellence in all areas of our care.

“We are working hard to improve the experience of our patients in the discharge lounge and Mr Booth’s books are a kind contribution towards that.

“I would like to thank Mr Booth for his generosity which I’m sure will be appreciated by our patients.”

Mr Booth’s latest book is still available for sale in Waterstones and WH Smith in Lynn, along with other selected outlets.
