Staff and customers at a Lynn bakery have dug deep to raise hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Smiths the Bakery, in London Road, donated 10 per cent of their February profits to the charity, as well as holding a prize raffle.

The combined effort raised a total of £750 which the shop’s general manager Paul Brandon, above right, is pictured presenting to Macmillan fundraising manager Georgina Daniels.

Mr Brandon said: “We were delighted at the response. The money we raised exceeded expectations with people being so generous.”
