King’s lynn cadet wins Norfolk honour

A member of Lynn’s Air Training Corps has received a top award from Norfolk’s Lord Lieutenant, Richard Jewson.

Alex Stapleton, a Cadet Warrant Officer inof the town’s 42F Squadron, pictured above right, was named as one of the three Lord Lietenant’s Cadets at a ceremony in Norwich last Wednesday.

Alex, 17, said: “I feel really proud. I do what I do to help the other cadets. It’s very nice to know this has been recognised.”

Alex is pictured receiving his award from Mr Jewson, centre, who congratulated all of the cadets appointed for the coming year.

Also pictured, left, is the squadron’s Wing Warrant Officer Trevor Bailey.

Mr Bailey, who has served with the cadets in Norfolk and Suffolk for 25 years, said he was “proud of the honour.” Picture submitted.
