A Lynn charity which supports children of parents who have lost their lives serving in the Armed Forces is celebrating after winning a prestigious national award.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers, founded by army widow Nikki Scott in 2010, has scooped its latest gong, Military Charity of the Year, following a year of unprecedented growth.

The accolade, from Charity Today Charity Awards, was awarded based on its dedication to providing gifts, trips and activities for the families of the fallen, as well as use of its holiday lodges, the third of which opened last month.
