A rowing club’s second attempt to launch “into the waves” has been hailed a great success.

The King’s Lynn Coastal Rowing Club builds, rows and races St Ayles skiffs and can usually be seen in the Great Ouse or on the lake at Middleton.

But members finally got the chance to launch from the beach in Hunstanton this month, thanks to a tide of help from Hunstanton Sailing Club.

Their first attempt to launch at the club earlier this month was foiled due to bad weather conditions.

Skipper Bob Panrucker said: “The launch was a resounding success.

“The sailing club has generously invited us back and we certainly intend on repeating the event.”
