When staff of the Norwich and Peterborough building society’s Lynn branch offered £1,000 to be split between threecharities, they left it to their customers to decidewhich charity they thought should get the largest share.

West Norfolk Mind topped the poll, run throught the firm’s Charity Choices campaign, receiving £500.

Home Start were given £300, while the West Norfolk Deaf Association received £200.

After the voting period was up it came back that West Norfolk Mind had come into first place and therefore would receive £500. Home-start came into second place and received £300 and finally the Deaf Association received £200.

Representatives of the three charities are pictured above with branch staff, including manager Michelle O’Doherty, who said: “I’m sure the money will make a real difference locally”.
