On Sunday Lynn Cycling Club are providing six riders to cycle ahead of and support the runners in the Mini Gear and main GEAR run.

Also for the first time KLCC have entered a running team and will be running in club kit.

Tomorrow at 2pm KLCC’s Open 10 mile TT will see 60 riders from various clubs participating on the B10/37R 10-mile course. Headquarters is Tottenhill Village Hall where refreshments will be provided by KLCC’s catering team. Donation from cakes and refreshments will be given to Meningitis Now.

On April 19 several members participated in ‘Count The Counties’ Cycle Sportive organised by Cycle Sportives UK. This inaugural sportive had three routes to choose from: 30, 55 or 92 miles.

Club members Ali Borrman and Paul Hunt said: “We hit all elements, wind, rain and sun. The headwind was insane especially with fatigued muscles and open fields for miles around the Fens.”

Wanda and Trevor Simper added: “The route of 92 miles ended up being 97.5 due to road closures so some members, ourselves included, decided to cycle up to the 100 miles. It was great to have a sportive on our local doorstep.”
