Two local homeless services have joined forces for a Can Can Christmas event, where community groups and residents had the chance to enjoy a drink and mince pie in exchange for donations of food.

The open day was held at Merchants Terrace, a supported accomodation scheme for homeless people, in Lynn on Friday.

The event was hosted by the Genesis Housing Association, who runs the site, alongside a similar project on Gaywood Road.

The food donations will go to those in need of an emergency bed at Christmas.

The service has four emergency beds and also provides longer term accomodation and support for 21 people.
