A cheque for £2,400 was presented to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital cancer care treatment unit on Monday by staff at Bespak, who raised the donation in memory of employee Mary Briggs, with her husband Malcolm, her sister, Angela Giles, and Billy-Jo Killingworth, her daughter-in-law.

The family along with Mary’s Bespak colleague Marilyn Beck, Bespak director Steve Ellul, and its area manager Steve Walker, came together to offer the donation. Malcolm said: “We wanted to do something in Mary’s memory, and I just want to thank Bespak for everything they have done to support the fundraising.” Jayne Miller, Interim Matron, said: “It is a real privilege to receive these donations. The money will support on-going refurbishment of the unit and provide replacement items.”
