A man has admitted slapping his mother in a row about him going to a party.

Jordan Dixon, 21, of Gaywood Road, Lynn, was given a 12 month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to charges of assault and criminal damage when he appeared in court on Friday.

He was also made the subject of a two-year restraining order.

The court heard Dixon had a dispute with his mother on the evening of May 31 after he had attended a party which she did not want him to go to.

Josephine Jones, prosecuting, said she asked him to leave and began to throw his belongings out of the property. He refused to go and slapped her in the face.

Jakki Upton, mitigating, said he also admitted deliberately dropping a bowl of curry on the kitchen floor.

She said he also recognised he had a problem with alcohol.

Dixon was ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £150 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
