Railway enthusiasts were in their element during a model railway exhibition at the London Road Methodist Church, in Lynn, on Saturday.

Saturday’s Vintage Hornby Running Day featured both Hornby gauge and Hornby-Dublo with both modern compatible and home-made items.

Vintage Hornby trains and much that goes to make a model railway were made by Meccano Ltd from 1920 until 1964, except during the Second World War.

They were sold in all good toyshops in Britain, as well as abroad, mainly in the English-speaking countries as well as in Europe and South America.

The exhibition also included a layout under construction to represent Lynn port with both South Quay and the Boal Quay.

All proceeds were in aid of church funds.
