Youngsters discovered more about The Mart when they enjoyed a fun fairground themed event at Lynn Museum.

More than 100 people visited the venue during half-term on Tuesday for its Carousels and Candyfloss family day.

Children looked at the impact The Mart tradition has had on the town and learnt about Lynn’s legendary fairground engineer Frederick Savage and his famous ‘gallopers’ ride.

They also took part in craft activities and tucked into candyfloss while listening to an illustrated fairground story.

The event was one of number organised to coincide with The Mart, which is in town until next Saturday.

A free fairground trail, inviting visitors to see how many carousel horses they can find in the museum, continues today and tomorrow from 10am t0 5pm.
