Tickets are now on sale for the King’s Lynn Players next musical production, The Addams Family, which is set to take to the stage from Wednesday, October 29, culminating in the final performance on Halloween.

The Addams Family is a new musical comedy which has been released for amateurs in the UK following a successful run on Broadway.

Chris Fox, chairman of the Players said: “We strive to bring new material to our local audiences, and this year is no exception. We are busy rehearsing to bring to life all your favourite Addams Family characters, played by some of Lynn’s finest amateur performers.”

In this rib-tickling production, Wednesday Addams, ultimate princess of darkness, has fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man her parents have never met.

Wednesday confides in her father Gomez and begs him not to tell her mother. He must keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia, but everything changes for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

The Players have also secured sponsorship for the production and Mr Fox said: “We welcome the continued support from the Lynn News, who have sponsored the society over many years. In addition, this year we have also secured support from Adrian Flux and this sponsorship is so important in helping the society to continue to present first class entertainment to very high standards.”

Lee Westwood, of Adrian Flux, said: “As a local company, we’re pleased to support community activities such as this.”

The Players are also encouraging the audience to dress up as part of the fun, as Mr Fox pointed out: “On Halloween night only, join in the fun and dress up for the night as your favourite Halloween or Addams Family character.”

The macabre and devilishly delightful new musical, The Addams Family, runs at the Guildhall of St George, King’s Lynn from Wednesday, October 28, to Saturday, October 31, at 7.30 pm , with a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets are £12, with family and group rates are available; you can book now on the 01553 764864.
