New members are being recruited for the Parent Teacher Association at Lynn’s King Edward VII High School.

Over recent years, the PTA has provided a huge amount of extra resources to the school, including most recently £5,000 of camera equipment to the Art department to allow them to offer GCSE and A Level Photography courses.

There has also been a class set of new, state-of-the-art microscopes for the Science Department, a class set of new sewing machines for the Design Technology Department and an electro-acoustic guitar, microphones and PA system for the Music Department.

Without a dedicated team of volunteers to run fundraising events such support to the students of the school could not be offered.

That is why, currently, the PTA is a recruiting new members, particularly parents of students at the school. Anyone interested in supporting the work of the PTA, in whatever capacity they can, should contact the school for more information and speak to Mariegold Nicholls or Jo Thrower on 01553 773606 or email
