Workers at a Lynn hair salon have handed over almost £3,000 to a brain tumour charity, following a fundraising walk last month.

Staff at Ziggy Hair Design, on Railway Road, took part in a family walk at Holkham Hall in aid of brain tumour research in October.

They were inspired to take part by the salon’s owner Lyn Barber, known as Sue, who was recently diagnosed with a tumour herself.

Between them, the team raised £2,940 for the Astro Brain Tumour Fund, which they presented to the charity’s secretary, Christine Forecast, this week.

The team have thanked all those who donated and who walked alongside them to help boost the fundraising effort.

They said: “This would not have been possible without the generosity of our clients, friends, family and colleagues from the local business community.

“We are deeply touched by everyone’s kindness.”
