King’s Lynn school holds double fundraiser for charity

Pupils and staff at Howard Infant and Nursery School were involved in a double fundraiser for Cancer Research UK last Friday.

Youngsters and staff joined in the ‘Wear your football shirt to work day’ where they donned sportswear or the shirts of their favourite football or sports team.

The school field was then coned out for a four-lap fun run, totalling one-and-a-half miles, for children, parents and staff to take part in. The mini fun run held as something to represent and commemorate the London Marathon on the Sunday and around 300 people took part. A refreshment stall was also on hand, with smoothies and cakes made by children. A total of £250 was raised from the day.
