The sacrifices made by servicemen who fought in the Far East during the Second World War have been remembered at a service in Lynn.

Borough mayor Barry Ayres led tributes at the annual VJ Day service, organised by the Royal Air Forces Association, held in Tower Gardens on Friday.

Wreaths were also laid by North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham and Norfolk County Council chairman Brian Hannah, alongside representatives of RAF Marham, Norfolk Police and veterans’ groups.
