Lynn shoppers are being encouraged to take part in two art sessions to help decorate a model Spitfire.
A trail of the models has been planned by the town’s Air Cadets, ahead of a parade to celebrate their freedom of the borough next month.
Two of the models are being sponsored by the Vancouver Quarter shopping precinct and officials there have announced plans to hold three workshops for families to help decorate one of the planes.
Two are planned for Saturday June 20 and Saturday July 4, both between 11am and 4pm, opposite Wilkinson in New Conduit Street. A third session will take place on a date yet to be fixed.
Centre manager Abbie Panks said: “As well as encouraging both adults and children over five to help decorate the spitfire, people will also be able to watch the other spitfire come to life with our appointed artist also working in situ at the same time.
“The artist behind our spitfire designs, Carolyn Ash, is a well-respected local artist and has also just completed one of this year’s GoGo Dragons for Norwich.”
