England may have crashed out of the Rugby World Cup at the weekend, but that hasn’t stopped students at one Lynn secondary school getting a severe case of rugby fever.
Pupils from the Springwood High School have been taking part in a workshop to design their own school’s rugby kit.
The event, held at the Stowmarket Rugby Club, is part of the All Schools programme established by the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football Foundation three years ago.
More than 400 schools across England have so far signed up for the initiative, including over 100 in recent weeks to coincide with the start of the tournament.
Kits designed at the workshops will be produced by Canterbury, who supply the England squad, and donated to the participating schools.
And one pupil from each school will be presented with the finished kit at Twickenham during a match in next year’s Six Nations Championship.
