Radio bosses have teamed up with West Norfolk Community Transport (WNCT) to boost Lynn’s Shopmobility programme.
Three new mobility scooters have been purchased for the programme, with part of the funding being provided by KL.FM.
Its managing director Darren Taylor, pictured above centre with presenter Charles Dennett, left, and service users Val Rimmer and Beryl Smith, said: “We are very aware just how well used and popular the shopmobility scheme is.
“It makes a huge difference to the lives of people with mobility issues allowing them to remain independent and avoid isolation.
“We are delighted we were able to support the scheme and to help make the lives of vulnerable local people just a little easier.”
WNCT manager Richard Pengelly said the group was “extremely grateful” for the station’s backing.
He added: “The new scooters are a massive boost for the scheme, which is very much in demand.
Many more people with mobility issues will now be able to use and enjoy the facilities in and around Kings Lynn town centre.”
