More people are enjoying the sounds of local radio station KLFM, according to the latest set of figures from the company that rates radio stations across the UK.
According to Radio Joint Audience Research (RAJAR), which is the official body in charge of measuring radio audiences, KLFM is the most listened to commercial radio station in West Norfolk and Wisbech, with 72,000 people tuning in each month.
They are also listening for 23 per cent longer than this time last year. More people in KLFM’s transmission area listen to the station than to BBC Radio Norfolk, Kiss, or Heart.
The Adam Newstead Breakfast show has its highest set of figures since it started four years ago and Ryan Taylor is also celebrating after more than 4,000 people tuned in compared to the same time last year.
Delighted Adam Newstead, programme controller of KLFM, said: “It clearly demonstrates the impact of genuinely local radio. Here at KLFM we pride ourselves on the love we have for the communities in West Norfolk and Wisbech.
“I hope these new figures show that people living here love us too.”
