Fine fruits, fabulous flowers and a television turned into a plant pot were among the highlights as the King’s Lynn Horticultural Society held its annual show at the weekend.

More than 200 items were displayed by 28 exhibitors during the group’s 126th annual show, which was held at the South Wootton village hall on Saturday.

Although the total number of entries was down on last year, and two would-be exhibitors had to withdraw on the eve of the show, secretary, Rachel Vyse, was still pleased with the numbers taking part.

She said: “There were more classes entered than two years ago and considerably more entries.

“We had the same number of entrants as last year, but fewer entries.”
