Flood alerts have been issued for West Norfolk today, Friday, February 20, ahead of high tides this evening.
The alerts were issued by the Environment Agency shortly before 11am today for the coast from Hunstanton to the north of Lynn and the area from Lynn to Terrington St Clement.
The agency’s website said high tides tonight would be combined with a tidal surge of up to 0.4 metres in height.
It added: “We expect to see windblown spray on the prom in Hunstanton and along the coast.”
The alert is the lowest level of advice issued by the agency and is designed to make residents aware that flooding is possible.
Earlier, a similar alert was issued for the north Norfolk coast from Old Hunstanton to Weybourne.
