Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery was stolen during a burglary in Downham yesterday, Monday, February 16.

Police say thieves forced their way into a property and garden shed on Cedar Close sometime between 6.10am and 5.50pm on Monday.

After searching the building, they fled with a range of bracelets, watches and rings.

The incident is being linked with a second break-in, which happened in Farthing Road, Downham, between 2pm and 8pm yesterday.

Although the thieves entered the property through an insecure rear door, nothing was stolen there.

Witnesses should contact temporary Det Con Sam Harris, of Lynn CID, on 101.
