£1,000 target set by car wash team

STAFF at a Lynn motor dealership will be rolling up their sleeves on Saturday to clean up car loads of cash for the Lynn News Special Care Baby Unit Appeal.

Motorists who take their cars to Stebbings Car Superstore on the Hardwick Narrows industrial estate will have their cars washed in return for contributions to the appeal fund.

Up to half a dozen members of Stebbings staff plan to be on site with their cleaning kit from 9am right up to 4pm washing the cars for a minimum donation of 2.50 a time.

"Obviously we hope people will be generous and we aim to raise 1,000 by the end of the day," said a spokesman.

As well as the car wash they are laying on free soft drinks and offering free gifts including pens and key rings to customers.
