£8,070 raised off roads goes to the skies
BRECKLAND Land Rover Club has presented a cheque for £8,070 to East Anglian Air Ambulance from proceeds of two club events.
The club raised 7,020 at its off-road weekend, held at Bircham Newton in June, and 1,050 at its easter off-road event.
The money was presented during a club visit to the ambulance service's base at Norwich.
It was handed over to the Air Ambulance director Simon Gray by the off-road event organisers Richard Grant and Stephen Olley and the club chairman, Kevin Peake.
Mr Peake told the Lynn News: "As a motoring club, we feel a natural tie to the vital work of the air ambulance team.
"We want to do our bit to ensure it can continue its lifesaving work across the region."
Mr Gray replied: "The level of support we have received from the Breckland Land Rover Club is staggering and hugely helpful to us.
"We are very grateful and wish the club continued success."
