£1.5million worth of fun at Hunstanton

EXPECT excited children and toddlers when a new indoor adventure play area opens in Hunstanton tomorrow.

The Fun Castle, at the Oasis Sports and Leisure Centre, boasts a huge range of slides, climbing frames and games designed to keep youngsters well and truly entertained, whatever the weather.

Its completion marks the culmination of a 1.5 million investment made by West Norfolk Council at the Oasis in recent years.

The seafront centre, which celebrates its 25th birthday in July, has been transformed into a multi-purpose, year-round facility for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

At the heart of the four-storey playframe, mini-adventurers will find an exhilarating 450-degree spiral slide surrounded by cargo nets, ball cannon arena and a thrilling sky glide ride with splat landing pad.

Business manager Mr Martin Chisholm said: "This is a very exciting time for the Oasis. The borough council has made significant investments to the centre, which have included a state-of-the-art Bodyworks gym, an easy-access promenade entrance and a modified Surfside Cafeteria.

"This latest addition of the Fun Castle will not only benefit visitors to the town, but also provide a focal point for the younger residents of Hunstanton to enjoy all year round."

Suitable for children aged ten and under, who are also under 142cm tall, the Fun Castle is jam-packed with challenging games and activities, climbing-frames and super slides.

It also has a specially-designed toddler play area complete with shape sorters, bumpy slides and an interactive ball game.

The Fun Castle is open daily from 10am and adds to the extensive facilities already on offer at the Oasis, including a 25-metre pool, with a 33-metre aqua slide and poolside spa, a Bodyworks fitness and aerobics studios, squash court and the Eco Ice-Skating rink.
