80 jobs at new Lynn B & Q store

LYNN'S long-awaited new B&Q store is hoping to recruit around 80 new staff members ahead of its opening in March.

To help the recruiting process an advice day is being held at Lynn's Jobcentre Plus office next week for people interested in both full and part-time positions which will be available in customer service, replenishment and decor, as well as forklift work and supervisory roles.

B&Q general manager Paul Smith said: "We offer an initial training package for our customer service advisers so experience is not essential, just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

"Staff will be on hand to talk to interested applicants about the various roles and hours available."

Jo Wilson, of Jobcentre Plus, added: "We are pleased to be working with B&Q in recruiting for this new store. There are lots of exciting opportunities for those wanting to work within the retail sector.

"People should come along to the open day and find out more about the opportunities and what it is like to work for B&Q."

The new 5 million store is being built on Lynn's Hardwick Industrial Estate at the former Jaeger factory site, and will cover around 45,000 square feet.

The advice day is being held on Tuesday, October 30, and appointments can be made by calling Lynn Jobcentre Plus on 01553 734926.
