999 carol service in Lynn

A SPECIAL carol service will be held for 999 crews in Lynn for the first time this year.

A police service has traditionally been held in Norwich, which was last year extended to all emergency services, and this year a similar event will take place in Lynn.

Police and fire chaplain the Rev Malcolm Hoare said the Lynn service will allow people who have a connection with emergency staff and volunteers, or have reason to pay thanks to them, to come together in the west of the county.

The service is due to be attended by representatives from Norfolk police, ambulance, fire and coastguard services, the Bishop of Lynn, the Right Rev James Langstaff, and West Norfolk Mayor Mrs Kathy Mellish.

It takes place at St Margaret's Church, at 7.30pm, on Wednesday, December 12.
