Artists in North Norfolk challenge

HUNDREDS of would-be artists were invited to take part in a drawing challenge across North Norfolk in October and November.

Now the results of their efforts are on display around the construction site for the new North Norfolk Information Centre in Cromer.

With the help of professionals, volunteers drew life-size outlines of themselves on white panels along with other shapes and images. It was all in support of the Big Draw, a nationwide campaign to get more people dabbling in drawing.

Separate roadshows were held in all the major towns, including Fakenham, Sheringham and Wells. When all the panels had been completed, colours were added to create a bright and vibrant piece of public art. They were taken to Cromer and assembled together as part of a 130-metre hoardingwhich now surrounds the building site.
