Barrie takes over helm at Probus

HEACHAM man Barrie Joyce is looking forward to his new role as president of Hunstanton and District Probus Club after being handed the chains of office from retiring president Neville Mackinder.

Mr Mackinder, who has held the position for the last three years, handed over the reins at the club’s annual meeting at Le Strange Arms Hotel last week.

Mr Joyce will be the 12th holder of the office since the formation of the town’s probus in 1976. The club, for retired businessmen and women and professionals, meets every second Thursday of the month. For more information contact Mr Ken Lawson on 01485 532163.
