Blaze at Hunny fish and chip shop

FIRE crews were called to a Hunstanton fish and chip shop yesterday when a frying range caught fire, leaving the premises damaged by smoke.

Two crews from Sandringham and one from Hunstanton went to Shoreside fish and chips in Le Strange Terrace at 11.48am and dealt with the blaze using hand appliances and breathing apparatus.

The incident was under control within an hour and the premises, which will have to be cleaned, were then ventilated.

No-one was hurt.
