Body of Downham teenager found
THE body of 18-year-old Jonathon Barber, missing from his Downham home since Saturday, was sadly found on Tuesday.
Norfolk police have confirmed that Jonathon was found in the River Ouse by members of the police diving team at 11.35am , during their continued search of the waterway between Downham and Salters Lode.
Jonathon's family has been updated.
Jonathon had gone missing at 3am on Saturday as he was walking home to Downham with friends along the banks of the river, following a night out in Salters Lode.
An extensive search of the area was conducted by various police units and other agencies including HM Coastguard, the RAF Search and Rescue helicopter, voluntary Lowland Search and Rescue teams from Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, Norfolk Fire and Rescue and many of Jonathon's family and friends.
