Body recovered from Hunstanton sea

THE body of a man was recovered from the sea near Hunstanton cliffs in the early hours of yesterday (Monday) morning following an extensive search by police and the coastguard.

The search was launched after police were contacted regarding the whereabouts of the man, who was believed to be in the Hunstanton area, which raised concerns about his well-being.

A search team from the coastguard, which was working alongside local officers, recovered the body of the man, who is aged around 50 years old, at 2.30am.

Enquiries are now being carried out to establish the circumstances of his death.
