Branching out into Lynn town centre
THE Royal Bank of Scotland is celebrating as it has opened a new branch in the Vancouver Quarter of Lynn.
The doors were officially opened by regional manager Joe Hinton, who cut the ribbon before joining staff, customers and well-wishers who watched as hundreds of balloons were let off into the sky to mark the occasion.
The new branch will open six days a week and has full disabled access, three counter positions, three interview rooms, a cash machine and a quick deposit machine.
Branch manager Ricke Williams said: "At a time when some of our competitors are closing branches and preaching the virtues of branchless banking, our customers are telling us that they value a face-to-face service.
"We wanted to show our commitment to Lynn and the surrounding area and to celebrate the launch we have made a donation to the children's ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
The branch – next to Argos in New Conduit Street – opens from 9.15am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9.15am to 1pm on Saturday.
