BURNHAM MARKET: Did you see lights in the sky?

Lynn News readers reported sightings of blazing light in the sky heading towards Burnham Market last night.

Maxine Turner and her husband witnessed the “blazing fire object” at around 6.20pm.

She said: “It was quite high and large, it went out to sea and sped across the sky.

“Luckily, I had time to tell my husband and we both watched it head over the sky to the Burnham Market area.

“There was hardly any wind and with the speed it was travelling at, it could not have been anything to do with Chinese New Year.”

This comes just after more than 500 people were injured in a meteor strike in central Russia and on the same day as an asteroid as large as an Olympic swimming pool is due to race past the Earth at a distance of just 27,700km (17,200mi) - the closest ever predicted for an object of that size.

Did you see this light in the sky last night? Do you think it is connected to these events?
