Charity cards at St Margaret's

LYNN shoppers will be able to buy charity Christmas cards this year from St Margaret's Church in Saturday Market Place.

The Cards for Good Causes shop, set up on a temporary basis, offers the chance to choose Christmas cards from more than 25 charities.

The shop is the newest to be added to 350 other shops around the country operated by Cards for Good Causes, which has raised more than 20 million in the last five years.

Shoppers can buy cards from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, at the shop being managed by Ray Edwards.

Mr Edwards said: “The shop will help many charities to sell their Christmas cards and enable shoppers to see a wide selection all in one place.

A wide range of charity Christmas cards will include West Norfolk charities, such as the Magpie Centre (West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled Association) and Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, based at Snettisham.

Tapping House fundraising manager Mr Marc Stowell said: “This is a really good project and the hospice is delighted to assist.”
