Concrete launched at Lynn driver

POLICE are hunting yobs who launched a lump of concrete at a moving lorry, smashing the windscreen and covering the driver in broken glass.

Officers said the driver was lucky to escape injury after the attack on the A47 in Lynn at 7.20pm on Saturday.

Investigating officer PC Dan Curtis said: "This is a dangerous and very stupid game to play. Luckily this driver was able to control his vehicle and escape unhurt. The next person may not be so lucky."

The driver was travelling from the Pullover roundabout towards the Hardwick roundabout when the 3ins lump of concrete was thrown from the South Lynn side of the road, shattering the windscreen and landing on his lap.

He managed to pull over and contact the police who searched the area for the culprits.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to people seen on the side of the road at this time or anyone with any information to get in contact with PC Curtis at Lynn Police Station on 0845 456 4567.
