Conservation tasks at Oxburgh
VOLUNTEERS from all backgrounds will be joining forces and working together in gardens of Oxburgh Hall as part of Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Make a Difference Day.
The day is part of a national initiative and the local event has been organised by the CSV Vocal Project and the National Trust.
Others taking apart are from the British Trust Conservation Volunteers Millennium Volunteers, the National Children's Homes and with independent volunteers, who are all keen to help with an assortment of conservation tasks around the site and invaluable to the upkeep of the gardens and surrounding woodlands.
The activities will include clearing the parterre, replanting the perimeter fence and cutting down suckers from the lime trees in the woods.
Some 60 volunteers are expected to participate on the day and each will be given a certificate for their contribution along with heart-felt thanks for their assistance.
