Councillors not to attend turbine meetings
TERRINGTON St John councillors have decided not to attend some meetings relating to wind turbines at Marshland St James.
The matter was raised at the last meeting of Terrington St John Parish Council.
Mrs Hardy said that a representative from Fenland Landscape Against Turbines had been in contact regarding the turbines.
This was discussed by members and then agreed that the parish council should not send representatives to the meetings.
School pupils will be asked for their help with the sign at the village playing field.
It was reported that some aluminium beading is missing from the bus shelter. The clerk is to get the replacement.
A member reported some lights out on School Road. The clerk is to report this.
It was noted that the bin near the village sign has been burned out, and it was decided that a new metal bin be bought. The seat near the village sign will be repainted it was agreed.
The clerk is to report that the bins on the village play area have not been emptied.
Mrs Pam Hardy, chairman, discussed the drains on Old Church Road, and said they should be cleared up within two or three weeks.
