Crowds had a good gander at goose fair

CROWDS flocked to a traditional Michaelmas goose fair hosted by Clenchwarton's Margaretta House.

The fun-filled event was held to raise money for a rare breeds and rescue centre at the farm, in Main Road, where owner Dawn Altoft also hopes to establish a hands-on outdoor education centre for youngsters.

Highlights included a small fair, buskers, children’s entertainers, craft stalls, refreshments and afternoon tea.

Margaretta House boasts 45 acres of grounds and gardens, four natural ponds and animals including rare breed poultry, goats and one of the smallest pigs in Europe.

The event was held on Saturday.
