DERSINGHAM: Hot-foot for charity

editorial image

Work colleagues from Dersingham took the heat and went feet first into a charity event to help vulnerable children and young people.

Communications provider Swains entered a team of seven people in a firewalk and raised £1,000 for Break services in the Lynn area. The Swains team included Claire Mason, Teresa Defty, Graham Cross, Carol Edwards, Dawn Loveless, Barry Ward and Sonya Kilcoin.

Barry, who is associated director of sales at the company’s Saxon Way premises, said: “There were no blisters and no burnt feet, just slightly blackened soles.”

Senior fundraising officer Sarah Bunn said: “It was a great team-building opportunity and and a wonderful result for Break.”

The charity’s work in West Norfolk includes supporting children with disabilities and young people leaving care.
