GCSE presentation awards evening at Downham High School

Revelling in the accolade of a record of the most improved school in Norfolk, Downham Market High School celebrated its Year 11 highest GCSE results achievers of 2012.

Students achieved GCSE success of 57 per cent A* to C grades including subjects English and Maths. Johanna Farr was given the David Saunders Award for the best GCSE results, with 10 A* and 2 A grades. Robyn Pegg, the mayor of Downham, spoke and advised students to “strive for the best and never give up”. The evening ended with the mayor, staff, students and parents enjoying a reception.
