Draw chooses KLFM car winner
LUCKY Mrs Elizabeth Beardsmore smiles for the camera after scooping the amazing prize of a car in a KL.FM-run competition.
Mrs Beardsmore (63), pictured front centre with her husband Paul (66), came up trumps in the radio station's Money-opoly competition, which was promoted over its airwaves.
Promoted over four Thursdays from January 31 in Lynn's Vancouver Quarter, anyone wanting to take part initially had to find ten lucky squares in local shops.
Some 130 people then qualified for the next part of the competition, which involved a series of draws in the Vancouver Quarter on Friday.
As numbers were pulled at random out of a hat, groups of people and then individuals were eliminated – leaving Mrs Beardsmore the winner!
"I could not believe it. You just think you will have a go. You never think you are going to win," said the Lynn grandmother.
Nine cars were put up for the competition, three each from Whaplode Drove Chevrolet dealers W.H. Brand and Son, Lynn Listers BMW and Mini centre in Hardwick Road and Suzuki dealers Fleming Brothers of Southend Road, Hunstanton. Mrs Beardsmore picked a green Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.6vvt as her prize.
She will also receive a year's free insurance through Adrian Flux.
